UK Election: Boris Johnson's Conservative Party Back for Brexit


Boris Johnson's Conservative Party has won the 2019 United Kingdom general election held on Thursday 12 December 2019.

The contest was mainly between
Boris Johnson's Conservative Party and Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party.

Out of the 650 seats in the House of Commons, the Conservatives won 364 seats with 13,941,200 votes. Its closest rival, the Labour party won 203 seats with 10,292,054 votes.

The Prime Minister will now continue to push for the exit of Great Britain from the European Union.

Speaking after his victory, Johnson said he would "get Brexit done" by the end of January. European officials say they're "ready for the next steps."
