Man Arraigned For Stealing Restaurant Items

    A-42-year-old man, Oluwaseun Alatise was on Monday arraigned before the magistrate court, sitting in Oshogbo for stealing items in a restaurant.

      Alatise, who appeared before magistrate Olusegun Ayilara was charged on two-count bothering on housebreaking and stealing.

    The accused was said to have broken into the restaurant of one, Dipo Idris and stole one Mouka Foam valued N45,000, one 6kg Gas cylinder valued N9,500, one pumping machine worth N40,000 and one pack of Maltina valued N1,3000 in which was sum to N95, 800.

     The accused was said to have committed the offence on November 28, 2019, at Ajibolaiya street, Oshogbo.

     The offence was contrary and punishable under section 516, 414 of
 the criminal code cap 34 vol 11 laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.

    The accused person who has no legal representative pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to him.

     The magistrate, Olusegun Ayilara asked the prosecutor, Adeoye Kayode if he had a reason why the accused person shouldn't be granted bail, and he said no objection.

     Hence, magistrate Ayilara committed the accused into bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum.

    He adjourned the case to January 17 for mentioning.
