Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack: Vanguard Newspaper's Report is 100% Fake - Presidency

The presidency has declared the report of Vanguard Newspaper on the alleged attack on a train plying the Kaduna-Abuja railway line as untrue.

Vanguard Newspaper via its online platform reported on Thursday, January 2, 2020 that a passenger on the train told its reporter that unknown gunmen attacked the train in what was described as "ballistic projectiles attack" but no passenger was hurt in the incidence.

However, the special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New media, Bashir Ahmad described the news as "100% fake".

He urged the newspaper to engage in a more intensive and rigorous investigation before coming out with such a story.

"Reached out to the management of Abuja-Kaduna Train Service, this news is 100% fake", he tweeted on Thursday evening, December 2, 2019.
