[Video] Lady found dead in boyfriend's room in Iree




There was palpable fear in Iree community of Boripe Local Government of Osun State on Tuesday as a 22-year-old student of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, identified as Faderera was found lying dead in his boy's room.



According to our sources who confirmed the incident, the deceased was a 300 level student in the department of Mathematics Education. She reportedly accompanied her friend, Kemisola, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, to visit her boyfriend, Malik who lives in a hostel along Koko campus, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.




It was reported that Malik who is not a student of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, bought cooked rice for his visitors on Tuesday morning before the incident happened.


Faderera was reported to have complained of stomach pain and fainted while eating the food. Her friend, Kemisola, who tried to pour water on her also slumped and sustained different degrees of injuries in the process.
According to Kemisola’s account, the duo hail from Ipetu-Ijesha in the state of Osun.

Reports have it that Kemisola has been taken to the police custody in Iree. 
Meanwhile, the student union President of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Kehinde Raji said all evidence showed that the suspect, Malik who as at the time of filing in this report had fled, is not a student of the institution.
Malik was said to have completed his National Diploma at Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke, however, his studentship was in doubt.

It was gathered that during a search, varying degrees of charms were found in Malik’s room.

The deceased’s corpse was taken to Lautech teaching hospital, Osogbo,  Osun State. As the suspect, Malik has since disappeared.

Meanwhile, Malik Idowu has reported himself to the chambers of Apex Crown Solicitors in Oshogbo, Osun State, on Wednesday, 17th of June 2020, and was accompanied by his lawyer Barr. Muftau Adediran and Barr. Ahmad Remi to Iree Divisional Police headquarters.

 As at last check, the friend of the deceased, Kemisola, who was arrested on Tuesday has been transferred with her boyfriend, Malik, to the Homicide department at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Osogbo.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, has confirmed that the report of the incident has gotten to the police state headquarters and investigation has commenced.
