Pele To Go Home On Tuesday, Here Is The Arrangement






As Pele's supporters prepare to pay their ultimate respects to the legendary footballer, Santos, a Brazilian club, has confirmed the date and location of his funeral.

The burial ceremony will start on Monday, January 2, at Santos Stadium, according to a statement from Santos, the football club where Pele played for the majority of his career.

Pele's body will be transported from Santos' Urbano Caldeira Stadium to Albert Einstein Medical Center by this afternoon. For fans to pay their final respects, the casket will be positioned in the stadium's pitch's middle.


The open wake will start on Monday and is planned to go until 10 am on January 3, 2023, on Tuesday. Following that, there will be a Pele funeral procession through the streets of Santos.


Following that, the deceased football legend's body will be transported to the stunning vertical cemetery, Memorial Necrópole Ecumênica, Santos, So Paulo, where he will be buried on Tuesday.

After a protracted fight with cancer, Pele passed away on December 29, 2022, at the age of 82.



Who is Pele?

Pele, whose full name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento was born in Menas Gerais, Brazil on October 23, 1940.

He is known across the world as the first black sporting superstar. 




Pele led Brazil to World Cup victory in 1958, 1962, and 1970 (the first and only footballer to do so) and is one of the team's all-time leading scorers with 77 goals.


In his playing career, he scored 1,282 goals in 1,366 games, which included 77 in 92 appearances for his country.
